    Circular Economy Of Palm Oil Effluents for Low Emission Transport
    The BioCNG Indonesia Programme introduces a technological innovation, the Bio-CNG technology, and aims at reducing emissions from the palm oil industry liquid waste.
    The programme aims to achieve the implementation under a Build Own Operate and Transfer framework of 10 POME to Bio-CNG production facilities.

    An innovative Programme for a sustainable future
    An important benefit of BioCNG Indonesia Programme is the potential reduction of deforestation for establishing new plantations.
    Deforestation reduction is linked to the fact that the Bio-CNG will replace palm-oil-derived biodiesel, thus allowing to reduce the surface needed for meeting the Government objectives on biodiesel blend to decrease Indonesia fuel import dependency.

Application of Bio-CNG technology in Indonesia through BOOT model

In order to drastically reduce the emissions of the Palm Oil Industry in Indonesia, BioCNG Indonesia Programme calls for the capture of the biogas produced by POME, its treatment and upgrading into a biofuel, referred to as Bio-CNG.
The programme also makes use of the Bio-CNG as a diesel replacement for transport and electricity generation in this sector.
